New 4345m2 primary school, with a capacity to accommodate 462 pupils, an ASN facility for 16 pupils and an early learning facility for 80 young people.
Design following the Passivhaus principles route and by default achieved the LEIP metrics Band A energy target of 67 to 83 kWhr/m2.a. with the use of IES simulations for daylighting, thermal comfort, operational energy and compliance with Technical Standards. The new school has been constructed on the site of the former Newbattle High School.
