The Taycare Acute Mental Health PPP saw the delivery of new mental healthcare facilities at Murray Royal Hospital in Perth and Stracathro Hospital in Brechin. The project provided a range of inpatient accommodation covering General Adult Psychiatry, Psychiatry of Old Age, Low Secure Care Services and Medium Secure Services.
In total, 183 bed spaces were created at Murray Royal Hospital, with an additional 52 at Stracathro Hospital. Both hospitals are predominantly single storey new build accommodation set in healthcare campus style environments, designed appropriately to the needs of clinical users and their families. Rybka were appointed to deliver the design of the building services installations.
