Working closely with Fife Council’s in-house design team and BAM, Rybka has delivered a sustainability assessment of the new 600-pupil Windmill Community Campus in Kirkcaldy.

Rybka was involved from the concept design stage and through engagement with the project team, provided advice on the implementation of sustainable design measures before carrying out a comprehensive sustainability assessment.

The campus, which comprises of the High School, Rosslyn ASN School and community facilities, was assessed under Fife Council’s Sustainability Checklist and achieved a ‘Platinum’ rating. The Sustainability Checklist assesses integration with the community, construction site activities, ecological enhancement, architectural design, building performance and pollution mitigation.
