Rybka were appointed as both BREEAM Assessor and Accredited Professional by The Highland Council (THC) to coordinate the BREEAM assessment process on their schools development programme in Wick. The programme comprises of four assessments, with each to achieve a BREEAM ‘Very Good’ rating. Rybka have been working closely with the design team and Contractor to deliver these ratings.
WICK COMMUNITY CAMPUS
The education and community campus to the south of Wick town centre comprises a high school, primary school and community facilities centre. This £48.5M scheme features classrooms, fitness suite and multi-purpose halls, a swimming pool, a library, and a double-height dining hall. The project is being delivered by hub North Scotland partnering with The Highland Council.
WICK NOSS PRIMARY SCHOOL
To the north of Wick town centre lies the new build Noss Primary School. The £15.4M BREEAM Excellent rated scheme replaces the existing North and Hillhead Primary Schools in Wick, Noss Primary School caters for nearly 400 pupils and spans 4,620 sqm.
