Raasay House, a Grade A listed building on the small island of Raasay, was nearing completion of a multi-million pound refurbishment when a fire spread through the building causing severe damage to the works. The refurbishment project later recommenced facing new challenges and Rybka was commissioned to carry out the building services design.
The sensitive refurbishment project consisted of converting the historic building into an outdoor centre featuring offices, dining and catering facilities, en-suite bedrooms and a multi-purpose hall. The building provides facilities that are key to the tourism industry on the remote island.
