February 2024
Our Inverness Team have been loving collaborating with a local school to strengthen some potential future engineers’ knowledge, experience and understanding.
Our Inverness Regional Director, Martin Bell, visited Millburn Academy to lead an exciting STEM activity for the pupils.
Martin visited the Higher Engineering Science class and engaged in an activity with the students centred around the topic of “How to Decarbonise Millburn Academy”. During this session, they discussed the building’s carbon emissions and ways in which improvements could be made to enhance sustainability. This included a tour around the plant rooms of the building and a discussion on how the building operates.
The students are now working on a series of engaging tasks related to various technology types. In a few weeks, Martin will be back with the students to talk about the engineering challenges.
If you like the sound of this activity, you may be interested in knowing that we are offering a 2024 Graduate Apprenticeship Programme in our Inverness office for pupils who have just left school. This would allow the graduates to learn through professional experience alongside studying the ‘Design and Manufacturing’ course at Robert Gordon University.
If you or someone you know would be interested in our Graduate Apprenticeship Programme for school leavers, head to the Careers Page of our website or send an email to careers@rybka.co.uk for more information.
