We’re happy to share that Greenock Town Hall has been successfully handed over this month.
This was a multi-million pound restoration and heritage project, involving a new roof and fabric upgrades for the grade A, listed town hall.
Thermal modelling was carried out to optimise the design of the system and ensure proposals met CIBSE TM52 comfort criteria.
Rybka also designed new, carefully and respectfully designed wind turrets to channel and ventilate airflow throughout the grand and ornate hall in the centre of Greenock. The new roof turrets worked as wind catchers, promoting intelligently controlled natural ventilation to cater for the hall’s various and diverse uses. Preservation of original design intent was key to this project’s success.
