Rybka Proudly Supports Local Charity
The Bethany Christian Trust’s Care Shelter at St. Aidan’s Parish Church in Stenhouse, Edinburgh, aims to provide a warm, safe, and secure place to sleep for those who would otherwise be sleeping rough in Scotland’s cold winter months. The facility offers hot, nutritious meals, and the opportunity to use the shower and laundry services. In addition, there is a team on hand to provide caring support and guidance.
In 2018, the church successfully operated as a Night Shelter, having been granted planning permission for a temporary change of use. This enabled the Bethany Christian Trust to offer up to 46 occupants a place to sleep during the winter, from December 2018 through to April 2019.
Following the success of this, the Bethany Christian Trust now intends to obtain a Permanent Conversion Building Warrant, which would allow the Night Shelter to operate in the way that it did during the winter of 2018/19.
Rybka is proud to have supported the Bethany Christian Trust with this application by providing a detailed condition report on the building’s fabric and building services performances, which will be submitted as part of the Building Warrant application process.
