Rybka appointed on new hospitals for Skye and Aviemore

We are delighted to announce our recent appointment on two new community hospitals. Both projects are being procured through Hub North Scotland, for NHS Highland. The two new build hospitals are located on the Isle of Skye and in Aviemore, with an estimated combined construction value of £30m. Rybka have been appointed as M&E Consultants and BREEAM Assessors and will be working in conjunction with the project team comprising Balfour Beatty, Oberlanders, Thomson Gray and Waterman Group.

The Skye, Lochalsh and South West Ross facility in Broadford will provide in-patient wards, A&E Dept, Radiology services, Endoscopy, Outpatient treatment and maternity services. The modern purpose built hospital will replace the existing Dr Mackinnon Memorial hospital, which was built in 1914.

The Badenoch and Strathspey hospital located in Aviemore will provide in-patient wards, a GP practice, Outpatient services, Dental clinic, Radiology and Minor Injuries unit. The new hospital will consolidate the services currently provided by Ian Charles Hospital in Grantown-on-Spey and St Vincents Hospital in Kingussie.
